I understand how psychiatric care can provoke anxiety. I respect your vulnerability, and will provide compassion and safety along the way, while holding space for your fears. We will come up with a plan together, while considering your individual experiences and background. I have a special appreciation for individuals with substance use disorders, their families, and recovery. Additionally, the mental health of nurses, first responders, and healthcare workers is very important to me, having first-hand understanding of the unique challenges we face. Anxiety, mood disorders, insomnia, grief, and trauma are some additional areas I treat. I take a holistic approach to treatment. I consider both physical and mental health. I believe in incorporating education, medication management, therapeutic modalities, and lifestyle modifications into my practice. I value a collaborative relationship with my patients. I will empower you to use your voice to advocate for your needs both within our sessions and out in the community. I believe the best results come from augmenting medication with therapy to address the root cause of your symptoms. I prescribe conservatively, and evaluate the continued need for medication as you progress along your mental health journey.
